The Engagement

Hi there…

When I last left off I had made it to Flagstaff with Carla and the Pups safe and sound.  Carla visited for a couple of days before she went on her own adventure and Pups and I got acclimated into Flagstaff life…  As most of you are wondering, the Pups loved parts of Flagstaff but missed her grass of the Northeast…  She did well walking on the cinder rocks and loved being fed bacon and eggs every morning by her grandmother…

David came into town a few days later and arranged to go to a place he held dear in his heart – the location where his mother’s ashes are spread – Hart’s Prairie.  The location he had in mind was about 20 minutes outside of town.  On Thursday, April 18th we took our wedding photographer (Cameron Clark), David’s sister and her sons and headed out.

Hart's PraYep, that’s where I went to college.  Not bad right?  It is also where my story with David began…

Side note here:  It seems as though during my surprise bridal shower, I was asked about how it all started with David and it was recorded by the one and only Jaimee…

Back to Hart’s Prairie…

Little did I know that David had more planned than just having pictures taken at the special location…

So we started hiking up to the little hill you see in the photo on the left…

Once we got to the top, he had arranged with the photographer the code phrase – “This is the shot”.  Once he heard the phrase the following happened…

ProposalYes!Proposal DipYes Laugh

I said “YES”!

We took tons more pictures before we walked down the hill back to the car…

Here are just a few…

As we walked back to the car, the full moon came out to great us and we knew that his mom was also smiling upon us!

The next installment….  It’s all about the wedding….
